She lost her father when she was only four years old, so she was brought up by her mother and her governess Lehzen. At the same time that she lost her father, she also lost her grandfather George III, therefore she would become the next queen of England, because none of her uncles had descendants.
In 1837 her uncle, Guillermo IV, died and the Archbishop of Canterbury transmitted the news to her. She became the queen of England with only eighteen years old in 1837.After in 1840 she married with Albert of Saxony. The year 1861 turned into the “annus horribilis” of Victoria, because her mother died on March and her husband on December; he died of typhus.
From the death of her husband on, she was in deep mourning, however she continued with her reign occupations. Thanks to Victoria, England was the best country of the world. In 1877 she was crowned empress of India. Finally she died on 22nd of January in 1901.
